Get answers to the most common security systems questions.

FAQ’s

  • Call Central Station and tell them you would like to put the system on test.
  • You will need your account # and passcode.

  • You can call Quinlan Security Service at 708-478-0707 and request a service visit.
  • You can change the battery yourself.
    (a) You must first put the system on test.
    (b) You must know the zone/device that the battery needs to be replaced and the type of battery that it takes.
    (c) Change out the battery. You must make sure that you match up the leads correctly (+/-). Do not reverse the polarity as you can negatively affect the system.
    (d) Once battery is changed out, take system off of test.

  • You can request a password reset right on the app or desktop in the program.
  • You can contact Quinlan Security Systems to reset.
  • You must contact Quinlan Security Systems to have the contact information changed as soon as possible. The individual name will remain in the system unless we receive a request to remove. You can also add an individual the same way.
  • You can also update the Authorized User list at the same time.

Generally we will start with suggesting you power cycle the device, in question.
(a) Simply turning the device on/off or unplugging for a few seconds and plugging back in.
(b) You can contact Quinlan Security Systems Service and we can try helping remotely or scheduling a service visit.

Hold the door open, meanwhile have someone use their card. Make sure it clicks or releases the strike. If it does all of that, then the door/hardware is the issue.
